1. Collaboration is Key to Electrification
The London EV Show highlighted the importance of working together to accelerate the transition to electric mobility. From charge point operators (CPOs) to fleet managers and software developers, every stakeholder has a key role in driving change on a national level.
- Networking Opportunities: The 3 day show provided the perfect platform for businesses to connect directly with customers and partners. We may live in the age of Google Meets and Zooms but face-to-face interviews are still unmatched when it comes to building meaningful relationships. Take it from the Sustainable Dad!
- Unified Goals: We loved the strong emphasis on shared responsibility—manufacturers, network operators, and policymakers who all play crucial roles in the EV ecosystem. Let’s face it, if we all work towards the same goals, we are far more likely to get there… and faster!
2. Electric Mobility Is About More Than Just Cars
While electric vehicles took centre stage, the show also promoted broader sustainable transport options.
• Micro-Mobility: Innovative e-bikes, scooters, and other forms of personal electric transport were featured prominently, underlining their contribution to transform urban travel.
• Supporting Technology: Innovations in software, hardware, and infrastructure demonstrated how the adoption of electric transport can be enabled and enhanced.
3. Knowledge Sharing Fuels Progress
We were particularly inspired by the passion and wealth of knowledge exchanged among attendees.
• Global Perspectives: With participants coming from both the public and private sectors around the world, the show wasn’t just limited to a UK perspective There are valuable lessons we can learn from other jurisdictions and chatting to interviewees such as Niall Riddell was extremely insightful.
• Solutions for Decarbonisation: For anyone tackling challenges in the energy or transport space, exhibitors provided actionable insights and cutting-edge solutions. We were particularly impressed with the 1MW charging infrastructure, the all electric Renault lorry and the lightning fast Naxeon motorbike on the Artisan Electric vehicles stand!
