CES is the biggest tech show in the world! Over 2 million square feet of innovation. Thousands of exhibitors. Hundreds of events. And a city that NEVER sleeps.
This year, we set out to cover as much of the show as possible… AND we FAILED, HARD!
So, we’re here to show you how you can crush it… Whether you’re a CES veteran or a first-timer, we’ve got tips, tricks, and plenty of lessons learned the hard way. Let’s get started!
Before You Go: Packing and Prep
Preparation is EVERYTHING. The Consumer Electronics Show can be brutal if you’re not ready. Here’s your ultimate packing checklist:
• Comfy shoes: You’ll walk miles—your feet WILL thank you.
• Portable chargers: A dead phone is game over!
• Snacks: Protein bars, nuts, whatever keeps you going.
• Notebook or app for notes: You’ll be flooded with info.
• Vitamin C and hand sanitiser: Tech flu is real, and you don’t want to catch it. (camerman lewis did and it took him down! Some people just can’t handle vegas!)
• Reusable water bottle: Stay hydrated—Vegas is dry!
• Layered clothing: The convention centre can be chilly, but outside is desert heat.
• Business cards: Yes, even in 2025, they’re still a thing.
And one more thing—register early and double-check your badge details. No one wants to waste time sorting that out on Day 1!
Travel and Logistics
Now let’s talk travel. Getting to Vegas can be smooth sailing IF you plan it right.
Travel Tips:
• Beat jet lag by adjusting your sleep schedule two days before you fly.
• Always have your ESTA or visa sorted well in advance.
• Download offline maps and ride-hailing apps before you land.
Accommodation:
Vegas hotels fill up FAST during CES. Book early, and aim to stay close to the convention centre. Trust us—30 minutes of extra sleep is worth it. And if you’re on a budget, split a room with friends or colleagues.
If you do pick a hotel away from the Vegas strip, make sure you budget for taxis to and from the action. Ubers are good value and easy to hail. Many hotels have regular shuttles to the strip.
Daily Plan of Action: Conquering CES
CES is a BEAST. To tackle it, you need a game plan. Here’s ours:
Morning: Hit the biggest booths and keynotes early before the crowds. Think Tesla, Samsung, Sony—get those highlights locked in.
Afternoon: Explore the hidden gems. The smaller start-ups in Eureka Park often have the most innovative ideas, and the crowds are lighter.
Evening: Attend networking events and parties. You’ll meet incredible people, and you never know what partnerships could form over a drink.
1. Each day, prioritise your top 5 must-sees—don’t try to do it all in one day.
2. Schedule time for breaks. Even 10 minutes to sit can make a difference.
3. Take photos of booths you love, and scan business cards straight to your phone
What Not to Do
Learn from our mistakes so you don’t make your own!
What NOT to Do at CES:
1. Don’t overbook your schedule: FOMO will backfire when you’re sprinting from booth to booth and missing
everything.
2. Don’t rely solely on Wi-Fi: It’s overloaded!! Bring a backup SIM or hotspot.
3. Don’t skip meals: A hangry attendee is not a productive attendee.
4. Don’t leave your gear uncharged: Battery anxiety is real—carry extra chargers and cables.
5. Don’t forget to check your email spam folder: Invitations have a habit of hiding there.
Avoid these FAILS, and you’re already ahead of the game!

This year, we saw tech that blew our minds. Some highlights include:

After days of grinding it out on the convention floor, we HAD to unwind Vegas-style. That’s right—we hit the casino.
The plan? Stick our week’s earnings on red… or was it black? A bigggg GAMBLE… but did it pay off?
Spoiler alert: I nearly threw up. It’s a moment you don’t want to miss!
