Future Classic EV turning petrolheads at Festival of Speed.

Anyone that thinks electric cars are boring probably haven’t come across this stunner.

And guess what… it’s built right here in the UK. Take a bow Charge Cars because this is a modern work of art. The Ultimate Classic Electric Powerhouse combining style, performance and sustainability at Goodwood Festival of Speed.

FOS never fails to captivate car enthusiasts with its thrilling array of revolutionary vehicles and cutting-edge technology. Among the crowd of renowned car manufacturers, one company stands out for its commitment to creating groundbreaking electric vehicles – Charge Cars. In an exclusive interview with spokesperson Nick Osy De Zegwaart, we delve into the world of Charge Cars and discover why their classic electric cars are stealing the show at Goodwood.

A Pioneer in Electric Automotive Engineering

Hailing from the town of Uxbridge in the United Kingdom, Charge Cars is setting a new standard in the EV realm, with a mission to blend classic automotive design with innovative electric technology, they have engineered two exceptional cars showcasing at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Introducing the 67: A Truly Electrifying Revival

One of Charge Cars’ star attractions at the festival is the awe-inspiring Classic Electric Car 67. Unlike other electric cars that rely on modifications of existing models, the 67 is a ground-up electric car built entirely by hand. As Nick explains, the chassis boasts robust steel construction while the rest of the vehicle, including the bonnet, doors, wings, and boot, is crafted from lightweight carbon fibre.

What sets the 67 apart from its counterparts is its adherence to the original 67 model’s dimensions, ensuring an authentic aesthetic appeal. However, the advanced features of the 67 bring it firmly into the 21st century. Equipped with driver assistance functions, all-wheel drive, and four electric motors, this exemplary creation pushes the boundaries of electric vehicle performance.

Experience the 67: Mid-Range Excellence

Exhibiting an irresistible balance between power and finesse, this classic electric vehicle embraces mid-range prowess rather than state-of-the-art acceleration. Boasting the composure and torque reminiscent of old muscle cars, the 67 promises an exhilarating driving experience.

While the exact range of the 67 is still being finalised, expectations are high. Nick hints that the mileage should comfortably exceed 250 miles, making it suitable for everyday use. Moreover, with a lighter foot, and perhaps a touch of restraint, the range could potentially even surpass initial estimates. But where’s the fun in that!?

A Promise of Performance and Delivery

While performance remains paramount in the automotive world, Charge Cars knows that delivering their cutting-edge vehicles to eager customers is equally crucial. Priced at approximately £350,000 (excluding VAT), this masterpiece of electric engineering will undoubtedly leave an indelible mark on the automotive landscape.

Let us know what you think. Would you like this for the school run? Could you hold your head up high at Caffeine & Machine? Would you like a test drive? For me, it’s a bit fat yes to all of the above!

Cheers, Ric Boullemier aka SustainableDad⚡️
